I Can’t Make You Love Me, Bon Iver
As I reblog this song for the seventh time, I realize that I talk about how much I love this song and how much I relate to it quite a lot. If I’m randomly musing, and I am, I realized I also never clarify that I don’t like this song because I feel like the singer, or I am Adele or Bon Iver or Bonnie Riatt or any of the various a cappella groups that sing it in this situation.
No, no. I like this song because it feels like it’s about me. I relate to this song as the subject, not the one doing the subjecting.
